I first learned about the Solfeggio frequencies years ago while attending a seminar about sound frequencies and the healing effects on the brain at a metaphysical market. Being a musician and having studied frequencies as an audio engineer, my interest was peaked. Could this be a reason why I was so drawn to music all these years?
The Solfeggio frequencies are a tone scale originally known as Just Intonation (in music, intonation is the pitch accuracy of a musician or musical instrument) that resonate at a specific hertz frequency and are said to impact the brain waves in a positive way. The 6 tone scale is said to originate back in the 11th century and was used by monks in their chants and has since been expanded to 9 frequencies. These frequencies were used based on their association with the physical healing properties and the spiritual connection to the universe. The scale was lost in the 16th century and eventually replaced with the more popular Twelve-Tone Equal Temperament which is used today in modern music and denotes the 12 notes in every octave.
So why is this scale important? Specific frequencies have been known to evoke certain emotions by changing the brain waves. Currently, the music that you hear transmitted through the radio is set to a frequency of 440 hertz which became the standard tuning in 1936, and is associated with the musical note A. This frequency has been debated and some believe it has an affect on the third eye and assisting with cognitive development. However, it is also said to be used in WW2 against enemies because 440 hertz can cause the brain to become agitated and could be used to make people think and feel a certain way. 440 hertz is not included in the 9 Solfeggio frequencies because it’s lack of scientific relationship with our universe.
There is a profound connection to the vibration of the earth and frequencies can be found even in nature. The earth has an electromagnetic vibration that resonates at a theta wave frequency of 7.83 hertz. This vibration is referred to as the Schumann Resonance aka the earth’s heartbeat. This electromagnetic energy is the basis of the concept of grounding/earthing because of its healing effects on inflammation in the human body when there is prolonged skin contact with the earth. This is why walking barefoot on the grass or soil has many health benefits.
Frequencies are natural rhythms that can be found in nature, such as that of bees. Bees wings work in a unique way where they rely on resonance frequencies which are very fast vibrations started by one initial movement. The frequency of a bees wings is 200 hertz which translates to 200 beats (or flaps) per second. Bees were originally thought to be deaf but with further studies it has been discovered that bees are very sensitive to frequencies and can hear airborne sound and use frequencies as a means of communication. The introduction of 5G with low EMF frequencies has scientists and apiarist concerned because of the bees sensitivity to frequencies that negatively impact their ability to learn, reduce their memory, and affect their flight and foraging behaviour which reduces their ability to pollinate.
What we know now about vibration and how it affects everything, people have become much more self aware of their surroundings, their relationship with vibrations and frequencies, and our sensitivity to them. In terms of musical frequencies, the effect of music on ones mood can be the result of said frequencies. Crystal Tibetan Singing Bowls are a good example of this. These specific bowls are tuned to 432 hertz which is associated with the heart chakra and evoke feelings of peace, calmness, happiness and well being. It has a powerful influence on spiritual development and brings mental clarity.
Recording artists such as Jimi Hendrix or Pink Floyd recorded their music in the 432 hertz based off of the understanding that it can conjure up very positive emotions thus enhancing the mood of the listener. It is not such a coincidence that these albums had an enthusiastic response. 432 hertz is known as the natural tuning of the universe and is a cosmic number related to sacred geometry that provides relaxation and happiness. This solfeggio frequency has been proven to be a healing frequency since it reduces anxiety, lowers the heart rate and blood pressure.
Now that you have a better understanding of the cosmic frequencies you can harness their power to work in your favour and watch your life transform.
